Dr. Emanuel Washington is a native of Alabama. He was called to preach when he was five years old. He is the former Pastor of First Baptist Church in Port Clinton, Ohio, where he served for over three years. After his tenure at First Baptist Church, he went on to further his education.
Dr. Emanuel and Thelma Washington founded Living Waters World Christian Center on November 4, 2007. The Ministry is located at 1125 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. They started Lodebar Food Pantry in 2009. The Food Pantry feeds over one hundred people every month. The Outreach Center is the newest addition to the ministry. They also purchased the Ministry Van. They use the Van to pick people up and take them home from church and other outtings.
Dr. Emanuel Washington has been in the Evangelistic Ministry field for more than twenty years and has extensive training in Evangelistic Seminars. He was also a tour host for trips to Israel and conducted a service on the Jordan River where he performed baptisms, gave communion, and preached the Word of God. Dr. Washington is affiliated with the International Ministry of Bob Larson, DWJD ministries (Do What Jesus Did).
One of the outstanding characteristics of Dr. Washington is his compassion for souls. His ability to win souls for Christ is incomparable and appreciated by those he has led to Christ.
Dr. Emanuel Washington attended Temple Baptist Seminary in Sandusky, Ohio for two and a half years, and Moody Bible College for three years. He is a graduate of the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville Tennessee, Toledo Extension. He has a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Theology, a Doctorate of Theology, and a Doctorate of Pastoral Counseling from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia.
He is married to Thelma Washington. She is a graduate of the American Baptist Theological Seminary of Nashville, Tennessee, Toledo Extension where she received her certificate in Christian Education and is able to teach anywhere in the United States. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Administration from Bowling Green State University, Firelands College, in Huron, Ohio. They are the proud parents of Edward, Wilanna, and JaShelyn, and have eleven beautiful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
